About the position

The Regional IT Support Technician will work independently to manage multiple IT implementations across assigned airport restaurant locations in North America. This role requires a proactive approach to developing strong professional relationships with clients, focusing on IT subject matter expertise and troubleshooting. The technician will act as a liaison, directing support for network system setup, administration, maintenance, monitoring, and the deployment of third-party applications. A key aspect of this position is to address and mitigate technology events and incidents, thereby enhancing client satisfaction with the systems in place. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Regional IT Support Technician will deliver support and training to end users on various IT and technology systems. This includes conducting cost-benefit analyses, risk assessments, and implementing risk mitigation strategies. The technician will also support Project Managers in budget management, forecasting, implementation planning, training, and scheduling for project rollouts. Preparing project scope and business requirements is essential, along with a detailed understanding of products and features to ensure successful IT service delivery. The technician will have the authority to recommend the implementation of features and functions where appropriate, ensuring that all IT services meet the necessary standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as the liaison directing others to support network system set up, administration, maintenance, monitoring, and deployment of third-party applications.
  • Work independently to simultaneously project manage several implementations for assigned airport restaurant locations in North America.
  • Deliver support and training to end users on IT and technology systems.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses, risk assessments, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Support Project Managers with budget management, forecasting, implementation planning, training, and scheduling for project rollouts.
  • Proactively address/mitigate technology events/incidents and increase the level of client satisfaction within the systems.
  • Prepare project scope/business requirements and maintain a detailed working knowledge of products and features to support successful IT services.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree (or international equivalent).
  • At least three to five years' experience working in a restaurant management position.
  • Proven knowledge of basic IT network infrastructure policies, standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and reading of construction blueprints for IT and POS equipment placement.
  • Intermediate level technical competence and experience with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Comfortable working in a large-scale, enterprise-level digital and physical environment.
  • Eligibility to perform work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Ability to travel and work 75% within North America.
