About the position

The Regional Lifestyle Enrichment Specialist is responsible for overseeing and enhancing lifestyle enrichment programs across multiple senior living communities. This role involves training local teams, implementing wellness initiatives, and ensuring resident engagement and satisfaction. The specialist will also support the Director of Lifestyle Enrichment in assessing program effectiveness and coordinating community activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training and support to local Life Enrichment team members and other staff involved in resident engagement.
  • Maintain and update the Entertainment Database and other Life Enrichment resources.
  • Assist in implementing Lifestyle Enrichment programs, policies, and procedures across multiple senior living communities.
  • Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness, resident satisfaction, and overall engagement.
  • Assess and implement wellness and fitness initiatives across multiple senior living communities.
  • Lead, participate, or attend activities functions to maintain quality control measures.
  • Provide Life Enrichment coverage in communities as needed.
  • Support local Life Enrichment team members with recruiting, training, and supervising volunteer staff.
  • Report Lifestyle Enrichment operational concerns to relevant directors.
  • Coordinate and execute offsite resident activities and community trips.
  • Participate in planning and execution of large-scale company events.
  • Engage in continuing educational opportunities for personal growth and development.
  • Maintain networks with external organizations specializing in memory impairment issues.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in O.T., Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, or demonstrated experience as a Lifestyle Enrichment Professional.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in a resident activities program within a health care setting.
  • Management experience in providing special care for persons with dementia preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a courteous demeanor.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives.
  • Ability to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing practices.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
