About the position

The Regional Logistics Director at Medline Industries is responsible for providing leadership and support to logistics specialists, managers, and directors within a designated region. This role focuses on enhancing distribution deals, improving processes, and resolving logistical challenges to meet customer needs effectively. The director will oversee a team, maintain customer relationships, and participate in strategic planning to ensure operational success and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of logistic specialists, managers, and directors to establish solutions that align with customer operations.
  • Maintain positive relationships with the regional customer base by managing supply chain logistics projects.
  • Provide expertise in establishing logistical requirements to support the RFP process and presentations.
  • Set realistic short- and long-term goals for the team and monitor progress towards these goals.
  • Participate in long-term business strategy development for the assigned territory.
  • Conduct business reviews with customers to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Assess customer needs to identify new business opportunities and deliver presentations.
  • Collaborate with local distribution branches to ensure program rollout meets customer requirements.
  • Lead efficiency and improvement initiatives for logistic support services.
  • Manage multiple managers and provide leadership to major departments or functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Sales, including logistics consulting and supply chain experience in healthcare.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a managerial role, including hiring and developing staff.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts and resolving service issues.
  • Proficiency in project management and experience in a sales environment.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
