About the position

The Regional Manager for Property Management at CAHEC Management, Inc. is responsible for overseeing and supporting Community Managers and Maintenance Technicians within the Atlanta, GA Metro area. This role emphasizes leadership, employee development, and ensuring compliance with property management standards and regulations. The position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality service to both internal and external customers while fostering a culture of professional growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, leadership, and support to Community Managers and Maintenance Technicians within the assigned region.
  • Identify, coach, and mentor emerging leaders within the region to develop site managers and maintenance technicians.
  • Implement CMI disciplinary procedures and documentation up to termination of employment if necessary.
  • Develop and train site staff on property operating budgets and fiscal perimeters.
  • Promote a culture of high service delivery to internal/external customers adhering to CMI's Principles & Values.
  • Communicate with residents and onsite staff regarding unresolved issues at the site level.
  • Encourage employee professional development to create a hiring-from-within environment.
  • Maintain quick response times to address emergencies and resolve property-related issues.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and management standards.
  • Assist site managers and maintenance technicians in identifying capital improvement projects and ongoing maintenance needs.
  • Monitor occupancy rates and ensure properties are at their highest collection rates.
  • Monitor expenditures of each site to ensure compliance with the fiscal budget.

Requirements

  • A proven track record of 5 years of responsible leadership relevant to recruitment, personnel development, training, and problem-solving.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of affordable housing federal program requirements including USDA RD, HUD, and LIHTC compliance.
  • Ability to formulate, document, and implement formal policies and procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing timetables.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Experience in overseeing a multi-family housing portfolio including operations analysis and strategic oversight.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988, Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1974, and Landlord/Tenant Laws.
