About the position

The Regional Manager - Sales at Prestone is a sales-driven role focused on managing and expanding the customer base in the Eastern United States. This position requires significant travel (over 80%) to engage with existing customers and prospect for new business, while also allowing for remote work when not traveling. The Regional Manager will leverage national programs and run customer-specific marketing initiatives, providing product training and support to aftermarket distributors.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Light Duty and Heavy-Duty Business Development Managers to secure new business and service existing customers.
  • Develop business relationships with Light Duty Aftermarket customers in the assigned region (Eastern US).
  • Regularly contact established customers and prospect for new opportunities.
  • Maintain a current opportunities list and follow up on all inquiries and leads.
  • Ensure all customers are aware of new programs, promotions, advertising materials, and policies.
  • Consult/train existing customers' employees on selling Prestone/Recochem product lines.
  • Ensure customers are fully stocked with necessary products, catalogs, and marketing materials.
  • Understand competition and their policies, pricing structure, strengths, and weaknesses.
  • Provide necessary credit information on opportunities and perform collection follow-up calls as needed.
  • Keep the Aftermarket team and Corporate Office informed of competitive activity and customer reactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of previous account management experience in NAPA/Automotive/Heavy Duty Channels.
  • Strong desire to prospect and sell new customers.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, team player, and dependable.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional etiquette.
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
