About the position

As a Regional Manager in Supply Chain Operations, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Regional Director in executing strategic initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain operations across multiple specialty hospitals. These facilities provide critical care for patients requiring extended recovery periods, and your leadership will be vital in ensuring that our clinicians have the necessary resources to facilitate patient recovery. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the implementation of supply chain transformation projects, ensuring that all clinical areas are aligned with the strategic goals of the organization. You will manage a distribution network in collaboration with corporate supply chain teams, focusing on minimizing product obsolescence and expiration while achieving high service levels from vendors. Your ability to work closely with nursing and clinical staff will be essential in maintaining the accuracy and effectiveness of supply purchasing and replenishment processes. Additionally, you will lead human resource management activities, including hiring, performance reviews, and professional development, while establishing standards of performance that exceed customer and regulatory expectations. Your role will require extensive collaboration with various stakeholders, including hospital leadership and regional executive management teams, to develop and present business cases for resource allocation and operational changes. Flexibility in your work schedule will be necessary to accommodate the needs of the teams you manage, and you should be prepared for travel requirements of up to 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing leadership and direction to enhance member service through the availability of needed products and services.
  • Drive the implementation and adoption of any Supply Chain transformation project across the hospitals, including all clinical areas.
  • Manage a distribution network in conjunction with corporate Supply Chain to minimize obsolescence or expiration and achieve high service levels from vendors.
  • Work with nursing and other clinicians to assure the accuracy and effectiveness of supply purchasing and replenishment.
  • Drive compliance with the materials management system by training, monitoring, and assisting with processes related to timely and accurate payment and issuing data.
  • Provide leadership on human resource management activities such as hiring, reward and recognition, performance review, professional development, succession planning, and progressive discipline.
  • Establish and implement standards of performance relative to quality and service, ensuring standards exceed customer, hospital, and regulatory expectations.
  • Collaborate within and outside of supply chain operations with multiple levels and groups across the organization.
  • Interact heavily with hospital-based leadership and regional executive management teams, facility Materials Management, key stakeholders, and internal clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • High School Diploma Required.
  • White Belt Certification Required.
  • 3 or more years of experience in supply chain management, including managing/leading non-exempt and exempt employees.
  • 2 or more years of experience dealing with multiple corporate structures, entities, and/or multi-facility or location oversight.
  • 2 or more years working in a retail, manufacturing, or health care environment preferred.
