About the position

Upstate Shredding - Weitsman Recycling is looking for an experienced General/Sales Manager to lead the New Steel Division in Rochester/Owego. This role focuses on managing daily operations while driving sales growth for steel products, emphasizing customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations, inventory, and logistics, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
• Lead, manage, and mentor a cross-functional team of sales and operations staff, fostering a collaborative environment that drives performance and achieves key business objectives.
• Drive sales growth through new business development and maintaining customer relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years in steel operations and sales, with a proven track record in leadership and achieving sales goals.
• Strong leadership, sales, and customer service skills, with proficiency in CRM systems and financial analysis.
