About the position

The Regional Sales & Marketing Manager - Refined Products at U.S. Energy is responsible for acting as a liaison between Rack Supply, Marketing, and Support Services. This role involves gathering market intelligence, developing relationships with customers and carriers, soliciting new wholesale supply agreements, analyzing prices, and managing contract performance. The position is based in Houston and requires a proactive approach to sales and customer service in the energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Supply & Logistics to develop and execute sales objectives and strategies.
  • Participate in daily sales volume forecasts and provide market and pricing insights.
  • Originate and develop a strong customer base in the region to meet volume and profit targets.
  • Negotiate spot and structured term sales contracts, including Fixed Forwards and Index deals.
  • Identify new product and market opportunities within the region.
  • Coordinate with internal support teams to optimize customer setup and experience.
  • Stay updated on industry knowledge and expand network through industry events.
  • Mentor and develop company associates.
  • Make quick and accurate decisions supporting strategic initiatives.
  • Champion continuous improvement and quality control efforts.
  • Continuously learn and develop professionally.
  • Support corporate safety and compliance efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of experience in industry sales or customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive business relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on listening.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to make quick decisions and resolve issues independently.
  • Knowledge of relevant software programs is a plus.
