About The Position

FanSided is looking to add new contributors to join our regional network, specializing in overall sports markets. Currently, we are looking for MLB fans to share their unparalleled knowledge of various sports markets across the United States. FanSided's Contributor program is a great way for aspiring writers to get experience creating content about their favorite sports markets. We provide you with a first-class platform, a growing audience, and the support to learn and expand. Our contributors are given the flexibility to write on the topics they are passionate about while doing so on a schedule that fits their daily lives. You'll be free to write as often as you wish. This is an Independent Contractor role. All Contributors are compensated based on their articles' total traffic accrual each calendar month. Compensation may vary based on site and experience.

Requirements

• Must be a fan of MLB and knowledgeable about specific sports markets.
• Ability to write engaging and informative articles.
• Willingness to pitch ideas and collaborate with the team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous writing experience, especially in sports journalism.
• Familiarity with digital media and content creation.

Responsibilities

• Write a minimum of one (1) article per calendar month.
• Pitch topic ideas before writing to avoid conflicts with similar articles.
• Explore and develop personal writing voice.
• Create content on topics of personal passion related to sports.
