About the position

The Regional Oncology Specialist II (ROSII) at Exact Sciences will be responsible for maximizing the utilization of the company's oncology products in targeted accounts. This role involves developing strategic plans, building customer relationships, and providing high-level service to ensure the best-in-class delivery of products. The ROSII will work closely with healthcare providers, managed care, and patient support groups to facilitate access to Exact Sciences' offerings, while also addressing clinical and political issues relevant to the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales objectives in the assigned territory through field-based activities with healthcare providers.
  • Sell company products, develop new accounts, and deepen relationships within existing accounts.
  • Demonstrate effective territory management and planning.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize product utilization while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Provide high-level customer service and support corporate objectives.
  • Understand key territory-related clinical and political issues to drive growth.
  • Complete training programs and maintain proficiency in genomic testing and oncology products.
  • Develop relationships with national opinion leaders in oncology and pathology.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers, integrating feedback professionally.
  • Prioritize tasks and drive results with a focus on quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, Science, or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a strong record in medical oncology or diagnostics.
  • 1+ years of experience in oncology sales, either in chemotherapy/immunotherapy or diagnostics.
  • Demonstrated clinical and scientific expertise in oncology.
  • Strong territory or account management skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Clinical experience in oncology sales.
  • Strong relationships within oncology accounts in the territory.
  • Experience selling to surgeons and cancer centers.
  • Familiarity with NextGen Sequencing, Minimal Residual Disease, and liquid biopsy.
