About the position

The Regional Operations Analyst at PeoplesBank serves as a vital link between retail administration and branch offices, providing essential administrative and operational analysis to ensure the smooth functioning of branches. This role involves routine travel to various regional branches, where the analyst will support branch associates and uphold the bank's mission of delivering excellent customer service while adhering to regulatory compliance and operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform branch reviews to identify operational trends and training opportunities.
  • Identify operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Research and resolve errors promptly.
  • Act as a peer mentor to create operational continuity standards.
  • Review compliance with operational, regulatory, policy, and procedural guidelines.
  • Monitor and analyze operational data related to account openings and compliance reporting.
  • Provide recommendations for additional training or best practices.
  • Ensure established processes are followed to identify and resolve compliance errors.
  • Meet with new branch leadership to review procedures and resources.
  • Provide operational and regulatory training to branch associates.
  • Support after-hours check scanning and balancing issues.
  • Travel to branch locations and corporate office as needed.
  • Act as a backup to other Regional Operations Analysts.
  • Provide administrative support to Retail Administration functions, including reconciliations and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or a minimum of five years of banking-related experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to adapt and achieve results under pressure.
  • Understanding of banking regulatory matters and procedures.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced customer service skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of associates.
  • Extensive knowledge of regulations including Reg CC, Reg DD, BSA, and others.
