About the position

As a Regional Operations Director (ROD) at DaVita, you will play a pivotal role in leading approximately 10 dialysis centers and overseeing a team of around 200 teammates. This position comes with complete accountability for a significant P&L, ranging from $30 to $50 million. Your primary responsibility will be to provide strategic and tactical leadership to the field management of the assigned facilities, ensuring that patient care is safe, efficient, therapeutic, and ethical. You will be expected to identify and develop strategic growth opportunities while monitoring the performance of the division. Working closely with the Divisional Vice President or Senior Vice President, you will help formulate competitive strategies that align with DaVita's mission and values. In this role, you will create a powerhouse team, inspiring approximately 10-12 direct reports to join you in the quest for quality and compliant patient care. You will address top growth priorities, manage patient census, and lead successful operational conversions on acquisitions. Your performance will be measured against key metrics and outcomes derived from the business you inherit. You will also be responsible for developing and executing strategic operating plans and goals for the assigned division facilities, ensuring that labor budgets are met and service excellence is maintained. Your role will require you to review, analyze, and proactively address gaps in service excellence, policies, and procedures, implementing effective solutions. You will manage financial and revenue growth, oversee operations and labor management, and ensure clinical outcomes are met within the assigned facilities. Additionally, you will maintain awareness of the competition and conduct SWOT analyses to assess the division's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Responsibilities

  • Lead approximately 10 dialysis centers and oversee operations with accountability for $30-$50MM P&L.
  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership to field management of assigned facilities.
  • Identify and develop strategic growth opportunities and monitor division performance.
  • Work closely with Divisional Vice President or SVP to develop competitive strategies.
  • Create a high-performing team and inspire direct reports to ensure quality patient care.
  • Address top growth priorities and manage patient census effectively.
  • Develop and execute strategic operating plans and goals for assigned division facilities.
  • Ensure labor budgets are met and service excellence is maintained.
  • Review, analyze, and address gaps in service excellence, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage financial and revenue growth, operations, and labor management within assigned facilities.
  • Conduct SWOT analyses to assess competition and division performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a multi-site operational business.
  • Experience leading a unified team and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Ability to balance business success with patient and teammate satisfaction.
  • Strong understanding of operational success factors in healthcare.
