About the position

The Regional Operations Manager plays a crucial role within the Corporate Services Team, acting as an internal consultant and operational advisor. This position focuses on enhancing operational efficiency across multiple plants by mentoring staff, ensuring adherence to company processes, and recommending improvements. The role requires extensive travel to various locations to provide expertise and support to plant General Managers.

Responsibilities

  • Visit plants as needed and as directed by the GM or COO to provide operations expertise.
  • Serve as mentor and trainer for leads and supervisors in proper Crown procedures.
  • Shadow designated employees and provide written assessment with recommendations to GM on needed improvements.
  • Follow up for continued mentoring and monitoring.
  • Document Crown Production and Operations processes and ensure they're being followed.
  • Document Safety and Housekeeping processes and ensure they're being followed.
  • Complete Housekeeping and Safety checklists monthly or when visiting.
  • Conduct a safety walkthrough while on site and make recommendations as needed.
  • Create a Trip Agenda with the GM prior to the meeting and take extensive notes during the visit.
  • Meet with the GM at the conclusion of the visit for a verbal recap.
  • Complete the Visit Summary within 3 business days of each visit, including recommended follow-up items and timeframes, and send to COO and GM.
  • Work with appropriate personnel on proper washer and dryer settings, ensuring operator training on changes.
  • Document reasons for changes and include in the Visit Summary.
  • Work with COO to create a list of critical processes to document and review process maps with GM for training purposes.
  • Enhance communications with the GMs and Maintenance as an internal consultant.
  • Provide an updated list to COO of key managers impacted by mentoring at each quarter's end.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in laundry operations
  • Excellent organizational skills; documents completely
  • Exceptional knowledge of equipment and processes
  • Exceptional internal collaboration skills
  • Ability to travel extensively, 50% to 75% of the time
  • Good computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft suite of products, including Outlook and Excel.
