About the position

The Regional Operations Manager at Thomas Jefferson University is responsible for providing operational oversight and business management for a hospital-based physician practice across three New Jersey hospitals. This role involves collaborating with leadership to evaluate operations, resolve problems, and implement necessary changes. The manager ensures physician integration into practice operations through regular business meetings focused on financial and operational performance. Additionally, the position coordinates activities of multiple practices, oversees training and credentialing of staff, and serves as a liaison with billing and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational oversight and business management to hospital-based physician practices across three NJ hospitals.
  • Collaborate with JMG leadership to evaluate operations and provide services, problem resolution, and initiate changes as necessary.
  • Ensure physician participation and integration into practice operations through consistent monthly business meetings.
  • Coordinate activities of multiple physician practices and ensure operations align with established goals, standards, budgets, and policies.
  • Serve as a liaison with Central Billing for practice management billing systems and oversee training and credentialing of office staff.
  • Provide feedback to Practice Management, Finance, and Central Billing on revenue cycle management in assigned practices.
  • Manage administrative functions and communications, representing JMG and the East Region.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
  • Two years of experience in an administrative role preferred.
