About the position

The Regional Operations Manager will form an integral part of the Regional Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the Divisional Head of Operations. Working with the Divisional Head of Operations across operational change delivery, enabling regions to perform to their maximum potential. They will ensure the delivery of a proactive, efficient and effective operations service, being a compliant and value-added service at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Divisional Head of Operations in developing the divisional operational change strategy, ensuring it meets all required standards of operational change delivery.
  • Drive operational effectiveness and efficiency to support delivery of the Divisional business plan, collaborating with regional teams and implementing strategy through regional, multi-site operational teams.
  • Oversee all operational change delivery across the region to enable trading teams to perform to their maximum potential.
  • Constantly review business processes to identify new opportunities and maintain key internal relationships with operational stakeholders.
  • Drive operational efficiencies to increase income into the business by improving income generation and implementing strategic changes.
  • Monitor team results, identify resource issues, and address problems with suitable solutions.
  • Produce Internal MI reports on a regular basis to monitor agreed KPIs and present findings at Regional SLT business meetings.
  • Provide education and understanding of the operational change strategy and performance across all colleagues in the division.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the region.
  • Work collaboratively with the Divisional Head of Operations to ensure a two-way dialogue on operational issues and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across a scaled and multiple site Operations function.
  • A robust understanding of business processes and performance levers.
  • Proven track record of managing change programmes.
  • Significant, proven experience of senior leadership experience within the insurance industry.
  • Stakeholder management typically to ExCo-1/ExCo-2 level and strong communicator.
  • A robust understanding of business processes policy admin systems.
  • Strong commercial leader with a commercial focus.
  • Experience working in environments which occasionally have ambiguity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
