About the position

The Regional Operations Manager at JJ&S Environmental Services is responsible for overseeing operations across multiple regions in California, ensuring efficient project execution and team performance. This role involves leading a growing team, optimizing processes, and driving continuous improvement while managing relationships with stakeholders and supporting branch managers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's operations to ensure timely project execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement by designing and implementing new operational processes.
  • Optimize resource allocation and planning across regions.
  • Partner with Branch Managers and Office Leaders to support teams and monitor projects and warehouse management.
  • Serve as the ultimate responsible party for the Operations team's performance across San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange County.
  • Manage and mentor two Branch Managers, guiding their development and ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Help Branch Managers develop and upskill their teams, including formal certifications for Asbestos, Mold, and Lead handling.
  • Ensure alignment and coordination between different departments and regions within the company.
  • Partner with Operations Analytics team to support regional operations effectively.
  • Manage performance metrics and implement data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Adapt operational strategies to support rapid company growth across all regions.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience (4+ years) in project delivery and team performance optimization.
  • Experience managing technicians or field workers (10+ people) in a growing, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Experience in environmental services, construction, or related industries.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including client-facing experience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel between operational sites in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange County.
  • Speaking Spanish (verbal communication) is a plus.
