About the position

The Regional Operations Manager at Transblue is responsible for overseeing construction work projects, janitorial services, and landscaping projects from proposal to completion within their designated territory. This role involves managing project estimates, ensuring quality and accountability with subcontractors, and promoting adherence to company policies and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction work projects, janitorial services, and landscaping projects from proposal to completion.
  • Gather, calculate, and compile data for bid estimates.
  • Identify and propose solutions to common landscape problems.
  • Accurately prepare bids using field data and software.
  • Line out subcontractors and communicate project specifications.
  • Read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
  • Visit jobs in progress to relate actual estimates and address any issues.
  • Add and update project information in CRM software.
  • Submit requests for purchase orders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Promote adherence to company policies and best practices.
  • Acquire permits as needed.
  • Seek opportunities for continuous improvement in project management and technical skills.
  • Create landscape designs and renderings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction/Project Management, or related field; or at least 5 years of related work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of verifiable field experience with project estimating or design-build work.
  • Strong estimation background with knowledge of construction/installation and irrigation.
  • Ability to program irrigation controllers and evaluate systems.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Arborist/Tree Risk Assessor preferred.
  • LEED certified preferred.
  • Experience working with commercial property managers, vendors, consultants, and architects.
