About the position

The Regional Operations Team Manager II is responsible for overseeing operational functions across multiple banking centers, managing a team of Regional Operations Managers and Project Managers. This role focuses on strategic planning, risk management, and operational efficiency within the retail banking sector, ensuring readiness and collaboration with various business lines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead moderate to large projects centered on process simplification and defined priorities within Market Operations and the Retail Banking Centers.
  • Oversee all aspects of project management including identifying cost savings, coordinating project resources, and delivering project plans to stakeholders.
  • Develop strategic recommendations and roadmaps to transform Retail processes for improved effectiveness and customer experience.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuously update operational processes according to new product implementations and emerging risks.
  • Implement best practices and streamline workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and execute strategies to meet Retail Market Operations objectives and deliver outstanding client experiences.
  • Collaborate across multiple bank divisions to analyze emerging risks and identify operational strategies.
  • Lead strategy development for banking center risk management and operating models.
  • Monitor and adjust banking center cash management strategies and develop support models for transformations.
  • Analyze reporting to set standards and goals for efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor banking center standards for compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage operational oversight and performance metrics for banking centers.
  • Perform quality assurance testing and partner with Retail Risk and Compliance stakeholders.
  • Manage escalations related to legal and compliance risks.
  • Develop a strategic plan to manage a loss budget for the assigned territory.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational initiatives.
  • Enhance reporting for root cause analysis and monitor operational controls.
  • Develop reporting routines to keep leadership informed of departmental progress and risks.
  • Perform managerial tasks including staff development and performance reviews.
  • Select, motivate, and retain high-performing team members.
  • Communicate team goals and collaborate with senior leadership and external partners.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management and process optimization within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and developing staff.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic recommendations.
  • Experience in risk management and compliance within the banking sector.
