About the position

The position involves planning and coordinating facility maintenance outages for Reworld, a leader in sustainable waste solutions. The individual will work closely with assigned facilities to create detailed work plans and develop an overall Primavera P6 Schedule, ensuring consistency across the fleet. Effective communication with facility and outage project managers is essential to support the planning and execution of maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the regional master outage schedule considering client needs and agreements.
  • Collaborate with facility Maintenance Planners to avoid regional overlaps in outage schedules.
  • Work with procurement and management to improve the Outage Readiness Index (ORI) process.
  • Maintain communication with Operations regarding maintenance topics.
  • Interface with Procurement and facilities to secure competitive vendors.
  • Develop and monitor outage scopes of work with field personnel based on the LTMP process.
  • Contribute to Post Outage Summaries with improvement actions.
  • Identify changes in cost and schedule forecasts and balance resources accordingly.
  • Assist in coordinating the Long-Term Maintenance Plan review and revision for budgeting.
  • Complete Project Progress and Status reports, and other required documentation.
  • Mentor and promote the development of NJ Planners and Maintenance Managers.

Requirements

  • Minimum ten years experience in industrial boiler/pressure part construction, maintenance, and repairs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with the ability to read and understand instructions and safety materials.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to represent the company and work with diverse parties.
  • Advanced understanding of EfW plant equipment, operations, and hazards.
  • Knowledge of computerized Maintenance Management systems and their interactions across business aspects.
  • Proficiency in Covanta's current system is a plus.
  • Ability to learn Covanta financials for planning and budgeting maintenance spending.
  • Prior supervisory or lead responsibility experience in job setup and labor management.
  • Strong computer skills, primarily with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience using MS Projects, Primavera, or similar planning programs.
  • Ability to read and understand design and shop fabrication drawings.
  • Knowledge/experience of Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
