About the position

The Regional Outside Sales Representative for Lighting is responsible for driving sales within the entertainment industry across the South Central region of the United States. This role requires building meaningful relationships with clients, maintaining a customer base, and collaborating with various teams to ensure sales success. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changes, and work under pressure while achieving sales goals. The position involves approximately 50% travel and offers opportunities for personal and professional growth through ongoing education and industry engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Drive demand for products by educating the industry and creating sales opportunities.
  • Maintain and expand customer base by building meaningful relationships.
  • Collaborate with various teams to achieve pre- and post-sales success.
  • Analyze industry trends to discover new growth opportunities.
  • Maintain a CRM and provide regular pipeline reports to the Director of Sales.
  • Work with upper management to forecast sales, inventory, and profitability.
  • Attend industry trade shows to seek new sales leads and identify new technologies.
  • Travel throughout the territory for in-person meetings and product demonstrations.
  • Engage in ongoing personal educational development within the industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an entertainment industry-related field preferred, or 3 years prior sales experience.
  • Minimum 5 years working within the entertainment industry preferred.
  • Prior project management experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with programming moving light consoles and lighting fixtures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while staying organized.
  • Ability to foster a positive team environment and work independently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Proven experience in live event/production.
  • Knowledge of MA Lighting consoles preferred.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

  • Experience in sales within the entertainment industry.
  • Technical knowledge of lighting products and solutions.
