The Regional Payroll Manager at J.R. Simplot Company is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing North American Payroll Operations within a co-sourced payroll model. This position requires a close partnership with employees and internal stakeholders to manage the service delivery model effectively. The Regional Payroll Manager will handle issue resolution, develop new processes, and collaborate with various internal teams to ensure accurate reporting of compensation expenses. This role also involves assisting with regional and global payroll projects, managing payroll operations in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), labor laws, and tax regulations, while continuously seeking process improvements across all regions. In this role, the Regional Payroll Manager will manage payroll operations to ensure timely and accurate payroll payments and compliance for North America. This includes supporting regional and global payroll projects aimed at enhancing service delivery and improving the employee experience, particularly during the integration of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. The manager will effectively oversee payroll vendors, ensuring strict adherence to contracts and SLAs, while working to improve payroll process efficiency and controls through collaboration with both internal and external partners. The position requires maintaining productive partnerships with members of the Global Payroll team, HR, HR Solutions, Tax, Total Rewards, Legal, and Finance. Effective communication, prioritization, execution, and adherence to established company policies and procedures related to payroll are essential. The Regional Payroll Manager will implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems with a continuous improvement mindset, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Additionally, this role is responsible for hiring, mentoring, and training staff, conducting ongoing one-on-one meetings, and reviewing performance.
