About the position

The Regional Process Engineer Intermediate at Bayer plays a crucial role in providing process and operational support to the North America Row Crop region. This position focuses on process improvement, standardization, and collaboration with various teams to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness. The engineer will lead projects, monitor processes, and develop documentation to ensure operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing key process and operational support throughout the production season to assigned North America Row Crop region.
• Partner with site personnel, Automation, IT, and Global Engineering team to deliver business process improvement.
• Identify improvement opportunities by utilizing lean manufacturing tools including VSM, A3, and Process Mapping.
• Lead low to medium complexity process improvement projects.
• Ensure process standardization and create relevant documentation such as SOPs.
• Monitor, trend, and investigate process deviations.
• Partner with site leadership to develop long-term capital plans based on constraints and equipment condition.
• Collaborate with other Process Engineers to ensure strong network and alignment between sites.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Agricultural Engineering, Ag Mechanization, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable Agricultural Technology or Engineering degree.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative team player capable of working well with people across all hierarchies.
• Good organizational and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills including communication, listening, and assertiveness.
• Results-driven with the ability to manage ambiguity.
