The OES Process Engineer role at Linde is a critical position that supports various aspects of Air Separation Unit (ASU) plant operations. The primary responsibility of the engineer is to provide process optimization support to multiple operating facilities, both strategically and tactically. This involves working closely with ASU facilities to identify long-term productivity improvement projects as well as daily operational suggestions to enhance efficiency. The engineer will utilize a range of engineering tools, including process models, historical operating data, statistical analysis tools, and simulation software, to achieve these goals. In addition to optimization efforts, the engineer will assist ASU facilities with routine troubleshooting of operational problems, ensuring that all facilities comply with ASU process safety standards. The OES Process Engineer will interface with various stakeholders, including Operations technicians, site and regional management, logistics planning, and productivity personnel, to provide comprehensive engineering support across multiple ASU facilities located in the US West region. The position offers flexibility in location, with preferred options including major plant sites in Fife, WA, Hillsboro, OR, Loveland, CO, Garfield, UT, Wilmington, CA, Phoenix, AZ, or Pittsburg, CA. The role requires a proactive approach to monitoring ASU operational data daily to ensure optimal performance, validating operational data for monthly KPI reporting, and providing engineering assistance during plant turnarounds or thaws. Participation in Root Cause Analysis sessions for problem resolution and the identification and implementation of productivity improvement projects are also key responsibilities. The engineer will conduct benefits analysis evaluations for various cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives, providing both remote and on-site support to operational facilities in distress.
