The Regional Process/Throughput Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing the productivity of the region by closely analyzing facility performance through key metrics such as Corrugator MSF/hour, Converting MSF/hour, maintenance budget, and electrical & mechanical downtime. This position requires collaboration with various departments within the North American Container (NAC) division, reporting directly to the Region General Manager while functionally reporting to the Area Manufacturing Manager. The engineer will be instrumental in capital allocation decisions and defining effective implementation strategies to improve throughput management. The role demands a strong understanding of troubleshooting efforts and the ability to influence without authority, particularly when working with key suppliers. The engineer will be responsible for developing solutions to chronic repetitive failures by analyzing data and leading efforts to prioritize resolutions. This includes performing root cause failure analysis on major reliability incidents to identify and correct physical, human, and latent root causes, especially for chronic reliability problems. Additionally, the engineer will support capital project development and implementation, including spare parts identification, purchase, and inventory management. They will coordinate and review vendor equipment and installation drawings for operability and maintainability input, assist in checkout and start-up activities, and conduct post-completion audits of all capital projects in the region. The engineer will also provide support for the budgeting cycle aimed at delivering year-over-year savings and ensure that both monthly waste and MSF/hr plans are effective and implemented. Identifying bottlenecks within plants and aiding in the development of plans to increase machine speed will also be part of the responsibilities.
