About the position

As a Regional Product Development Manager (RPDM) for Matting Solutions at United Rentals, you will serve as the primary contact for strategic accounts within the Trade area, District, or Regions. This role involves acting as a liaison with various account managers and sales representatives, providing technical support and training for Matting Solutions applications, and driving profitable revenue through collaboration and lead sharing. Your strategic vision will be crucial in guiding growth and achieving career milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact for key accounts in the Matting Solutions Region.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key account customers for Matting services and solutions.
  • Collaborate with local sales representatives and business units to drive incremental revenue.
  • Manage new projects and related fleet for the Matting Solutions Division.
  • Conduct training programs for sales representatives on Matting product applications and safety.
  • Provide engineering and design support for complex technical projects.
  • Utilize Sales Force Automation (SFA) tools to provide business intelligence to the sales team.
  • Assist sales representatives in selecting the appropriate equipment for customer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum 7 years of technical sales experience in the Matting product/services line or related experience.
  • 3 years of sales supervisory experience with the ability to train and motivate others.
  • Firm knowledge of existing products and methods in the rental market.
  • Strong understanding of new Matting products and market expansion opportunities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Strong sales management and customer service skills.
  • Understanding of business accounting principles and budget preparation.
  • Engineering/mechanical aptitude for sizing, quoting, and maintaining large projects.
  • Proficiency with SFDC, Dodge, PEC, or other CRM software.
