As a Regional Product Development Manager at United Rentals, you will serve as the primary point of contact for Power/HVAC products and services for strategic and key accounts within your designated trade area, district, or region. This role involves acting as a liaison between various account managers and sales representatives across all business units of the company. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise on engineered power and HVAC systems, offering training and project support to customers for both new and existing product lines. Additionally, you will educate other business units on the applications and benefits of power and HVAC products, ensuring a comprehensive understanding across the organization. Your primary objective will be to drive incremental profitable revenue for the power and HVAC business through effective lead sharing and collaboration within the trade area. You will focus on developing and nurturing key account relationships, working closely with local sales representatives and all business unit branches to maximize revenue opportunities. As the lead liaison for major disaster-related projects, you will manage hurricane and disaster contingency plans, ensuring that the company is prepared to respond effectively to such events. In partnership with management and sales representatives, you will oversee the rate structure for larger projects to optimize return on investment. You will accompany sales representatives on technically complex sales calls, providing expertise to help select the most cost-effective equipment solutions for customers. Additionally, you will manage new projects within the Power/HVAC Division and oversee the movement of specialty fleet equipment between branches to meet the needs of key accounts. Training and development will also be a significant part of your role, as you will develop and conduct training programs focused on engineered power and temperature control applications, emphasizing safety and maintenance practices.
