About the position

The Regional Production Services Manager at Pinnacle Live plays a crucial role in enhancing the live event experience by overseeing the pre-planning, logistics, resource allocation, accounting, and on-site management of large-scale productions. This position is integral to the venue operations teams, ensuring that all aspects of production align with Pinnacle Live's high standards. The manager will collaborate closely with various departments, including Venue Sales, Venue Operations, Rigging Services, and Power Services, to execute high-level productions effectively. As the remote point of contact for project planning and the on-site contact during production site visits, the Regional Production Services Manager is responsible for identifying and training Event Services Technicians to ensure they are equipped to handle production-level events competently. Building and maintaining relationships with labor brokers and sub-rental vendors is essential for accessing the necessary resources for successful event execution. The manager will also create detailed production schedules, assist in obtaining quotes from vendors, and prepare project budgets, ensuring financial accountability throughout the production process. In addition to these responsibilities, the manager will serve as a subject matter expert in production, advising venues on equipment and staffing needs while maximizing in-house resources. The role requires translating client requests into comprehensive production visions and identifying opportunities for additional revenue. The manager will generate CAD files to accurately represent production elements and calculate power consumption to ensure adequate resources are available. Overall, this position demands a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and strong interpersonal abilities to deliver unforgettable live event experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Assist venue operations teams with pre-planning and logistics for large-scale productions.
  • Serve as the remote point of contact for project planning and on-site contact for production site visits.
  • Identify and train Event Services Technicians to serve as competent show operators.
  • Maintain relationships with labor brokers and sub-rental vendors for production-level event execution.
  • Create detailed production schedules and define deliverables for each project.
  • Assist in obtaining quotes from qualified sub-rental vendors as necessary.
  • Prepare and implement project budgets, including pre-event estimates and post-event actuals.
  • Create and edit orders for internal charges related to Production Services resources.
  • Consult venues on appropriate equipment and staffing levels, focusing on in-house resources.
  • Translate client requests into holistic production visions and identify revenue opportunities.
  • Generate CAD files for projects to demonstrate the scale of production elements.
  • Calculate power consumption of production components and coordinate with Power Services as necessary.
  • Assist with Rigging Services requests on production-level events.
  • Manage in-house, third-party, and/or union laborers for large productions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Three (3) years of project management experience.
  • Ability to interpret floor plans and three-dimensional drawings.
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Understanding of signal flow and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Proficiency with industry-standard project management software (Monday.com, Asana, etc.).
