About the position

The Regional Production Services Manager at Pinnacle Live plays a crucial role in enhancing the live event experience by overseeing the pre-planning, logistics, resource allocation, accounting, and on-site management of large-scale productions. This position is integral to the Production Services department, where the manager collaborates with various teams, including Venue Sales, Venue Operations, Rigging Services, and Power Services, to ensure that all productions meet Pinnacle Live's high standards. The manager will serve as both a remote point of contact for project planning and an on-site leader during production site visits and event execution, ensuring seamless communication and coordination among all stakeholders involved. In this role, the manager will be responsible for identifying and training Event Services Technicians and Senior Event Services Technicians, enabling them to effectively operate during production-level events. Building and maintaining relationships with labor brokers and subrental vendors is essential to ensure that Pinnacle Live has access to the necessary resources for successful event execution. The manager will create detailed production schedules, assist in obtaining quotes from qualified vendors, and prepare project budgets that include pre-event estimates and post-event actuals. Additionally, the manager will function as a subject matter expert, advising venues on equipment and staffing needs while maximizing the use of in-house resources. The Regional Production Services Manager will also be tasked with translating client requests into comprehensive production visions, identifying opportunities for additional revenue during the sales process. This includes generating CAD files to accurately represent production elements and calculating power consumption to ensure adequate resources are available. The manager will oversee the management of in-house, third-party, and union laborers during the setup, operation, and strike of large productions, ensuring that all aspects of the event run smoothly and efficiently. Other related duties may be assigned as needed, making this a dynamic and multifaceted role within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Venue Sales, Venue Operations, Rigging Services, and Power Services to plan and execute high-level production in accordance with Pinnacle Live's production standards.
  • Serve as the remote point of contact for project planning and on-site point of contact for production site visits and event execution as requested by venue staff.
  • Identify and train Event Services Technicians and Senior Event Services Technicians to serve as competent show operators on production-level events.
  • Identify and maintain relationships with labor brokers and subrental vendors to ensure access to partners for production-level event execution.
  • Create detailed production schedules and define cadence of deliverables for each project as requested by Venue Operations.
  • Assist Venue Operations in obtaining quotes from qualified sub-rental vendors as necessary.
  • Prepare and implement project budgets including pre-event estimates and post-event actuals.
  • Create and edit orders for internal charges related to Production Services resources.
  • Function as production subject matter expert, consulting venues to choose appropriate equipment and staffing levels with a focus on utilizing in-house resources when possible.
  • Translate client requests into holistic production visions and identify opportunities to capture additional revenue in the sales process.
  • Generate CAD files as needed for projects to demonstrate the accurate scale of production elements including staging, lighting, projection, audio, and cable pathing.
  • Calculate power consumption of production components to ensure adequate power, coordinating with the Power Services department as necessary.
  • Assist with Rigging Services requests on production-level events.
  • Manage in-house, third-party, and/or union laborers to set, operate, and strike large productions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Three (3) years' project management experience.
  • Ability to interpret floor plans and three-dimensional drawings.
  • Proficiency in Vector works preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Understanding of signal flow and technical troubleshooting skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with CAD software (Vector works, Vivien, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with industry-standard project management software (Monday.com, Asana, etc.).
