About the position

The Regional Academic Program Manager (Online Programs) at Florida Technical College is responsible for supervising assigned programs and departments, focusing on teaching, student retention, curriculum development, accreditation, and learning assessment processes. This role involves direct interaction with students, teaching responsibilities, and ensuring that academic goals are met while supporting the overall effectiveness of the institution's online programs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned programs and departments as a subject matter expert.
• Teach and demonstrate in classroom, laboratory, blended, or online settings according to program objectives.
• Assess student skills and supervise students in externship or capstone courses.
• Drive institutional effectiveness indicators to meet retention, certification, graduation, and placement goals.
• Develop daily lesson plans based on the approved curriculum and ensure course learning goals are met.
• Provide student support through advising, tutoring, and referral services.
• Monitor course-learning objectives and student learning outcomes using academic reports and assessments.
• Ensure daily student attendance and engagement to meet retention benchmarks.
• Support college administration in achieving goals related to attrition, placement, and certifications.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in Education or relevant field.
• Minimum of three years of work experience in the field.
• Two years of teaching or training experience.
• Microsoft Office Certifications.
• Technical Diploma or Degree in the program for Diploma level courses.
