The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine invites applications for the role of Regional Project Coordinator, BeHERE NV. The Regional Project Coordinator will collaborate with the state's regional behavioral health policy boards to assess the specific workforce needs of each region and collaborate with other healthcare career education programs, such as Nevada Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Program, to implement trainings on behavioral health careers and education pathways. The Behavioral Health Workforce Regional Project Coordinator (RPC) for the Behavioral Health Education, Retention, and Expansion Network of Nevada (BeHERE NV) is a position associated with the development and ongoing implementation of the network in accordance with Assembly Bill 37 from the Nevada 82nd Legislative Session (2023). AB 37 authorizes the Board of Regents to establish a behavioral health workforce development center (i.e., BeHERE NV) at one or more institutions within the Nevada System of Higher Education. The organization will employ a “hub and spoke” model, with spokes to regional hubs in NSHE institutions across the state. The RPC will be housed in the Office of Statewide Initiatives (OSI) at the University of Nevada Reno (UNR) and reports to Senior Manager, OSI Outreach and Technical Assistance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate competency in collaborative relationship building, development and delivery of training modules and programs, and community engagement and outreach. This candidate will be well-versed in the collection, summary and dissemination of information from and to a variety of diverse stakeholder groups, demonstrating a commitment to diversity in practice and in diversifying the workforce. A high degree of organizational skill and detail orientation will contribute to success in the role.
