About the position

The Regional Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of a large portfolio of 8-10 properties, ensuring a safe and attractive living environment for residents and a supportive workplace for associates. This role involves leadership, financial management, and operational efficiency, with a focus on resident satisfaction and associate engagement. The manager will attract, coach, and lead a high-performance team while ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining effective communication strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for operations of 8-10 properties.
  • Ensure a safe and attractive living environment for residents.
  • Attract, retain, coach, and motivate a high-performance team of Property Managers.
  • Oversee the development and performance of property operating budgets and maintenance plans.
  • Monitor sales performance and ensure effective execution of marketing plans.
  • Implement and maintain effective operational systems and processes.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication strategies with teams.
  • Monitor and approve property expenses such as payroll and vendor invoices.
  • Interact with residents and vendors to resolve escalated issues.
  • Prepare and analyze operational and financial reports.
  • Assess the physical condition and maintenance needs of each property.
  • Partner with the Resident Services Department to offer community initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years property management experience or management experience in a related field.
  • At least three years in a supervisory role.
  • Minimum of three years of multiple-site residential management experience.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • NCHM COS & TCS Certification or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets.
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing and leasing.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with community development organizations.
  • Knowledge of housing policy at various government levels.
