About the position

The Regional Property Manager at Catholic Charities of Baltimore is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of assigned properties, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and providing quality housing and services to residents. This role involves supervising Property Managers, managing budgets, and maintaining financial performance while fostering a positive work culture among staff and residents.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Property Managers and oversee day-to-day operations of assigned properties.
  • Interpret and implement Senior Communities policies and procedures.
  • Ensure quality housing and services are provided to residents.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, local regulations, and funding source requirements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of property budgets and monitor expenditures.
  • Oversee financial performance of assigned Senior Communities and hold Property Managers accountable for financial statements.
  • Implement quality control programs to meet or exceed agency and industry standards.
  • Assist Property Managers in promoting a positive work culture among staff and residents.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as assigned.
  • Provide staff development and training programs for assigned staff.
  • Participate in professional organizations related to property management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field.
  • Four years in an administrative capacity, including two years in the field of aging and demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Proven knowledge of HUD Section 202/8 programs and Low-income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program.
  • Certification as a Certified Housing Manager or equivalent certification.
  • Certification as a Tax Credit Specialist or equivalent certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong interpersonal skills and well-developed presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
