About the position

The Purchasing Manager - Replenishment and Inventory Value Focus is a critical role within Ferraro Foods, responsible for managing and optimizing the replenishment process and inventory value for both food and non-food items. The Purchasing Manager will monitor supplier performance, maintain optimal stock levels, and maximize inventory value, all while ensuring that the replenishment strategies align with the company's financial targets and business goals. In this role, the Purchasing Manager will develop and implement replenishment strategies that guarantee consistent product availability. This involves closely monitoring inventory levels and forecasting future needs based on sales data and market trends. Collaboration with sales and operations teams is crucial to understand demand patterns and adjust replenishment plans accordingly. The manager will utilize inventory management systems to track stock levels, manage reorder points, and implement best practices for inventory control to minimize excess stock and stockouts. Cost and inventory value management are also key responsibilities of this position. The Purchasing Manager will analyze the impact of replenishment items on availability, develop and manage the replenishment budget, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities. The manager will implement cost-control measures and ensure adherence to the budget while maintaining quality assurance standards for all replenished items. Regular reports on procurement activities, inventory value, supplier performance, and cost savings will be generated, providing insights and recommendations to improve replenishment processes and inventory value. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the food service industry.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards is a plus.
