This role is pivotal in managing and optimizing the replenishment process and inventory value for both food and non-food items. The Purchasing Manager will ensure timely and efficient restocking of inventory, monitor supplier performance, maintain optimal stock levels, and maximize inventory value to meet the demands of food service operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a talent for developing and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. In this position, the Purchasing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing replenishment strategies to ensure consistent product availability. This includes monitoring inventory levels and forecasting future needs based on sales data and market trends. Collaboration with sales and operations teams is essential to understand demand patterns and adjust replenishment plans accordingly. The role also involves utilizing inventory management systems to track stock levels and manage reorder points, implementing best practices for inventory control to minimize excess stock and stockouts, and coordinating with warehouse and distribution teams for efficient stock movement and storage. Additionally, the Purchasing Manager will analyze and assess the impact on the availability of replenishment items, manage the replenishment budget, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
