About the position

The Regional Quality Manager for Data Center Design, Engineering, and Construction at Meta is responsible for implementing and managing the Meta Quality Program. This role focuses on establishing a Quality Culture that emphasizes accountability, effective feedback, and contractor performance. The manager will lead quality initiatives to ensure the timely delivery of data center projects, fostering strong partnerships across various teams to drive day one readiness and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor quality program metrics to evaluate project performance and address any concerning trends.
  • Mentor and develop on-site partner construction Quality & Commissioning teams, providing performance signals to contractor leadership.
  • Establish effective processes and standards in collaboration with Site Construction Management and Area Management teams.
  • Lead site quality teams and interface with design, construction, and facility operations leadership and general contractors.
  • Provide direction and feedback to general contractor staff and trade partners regarding the Quality program.
  • Train personnel on quality procedures and responsibilities within the Quality process.
  • Coordinate quality issues and schedule dynamics among design, sourcing, construction, and facility operations teams.
  • Audit quality activities of staff and trade partners to assess conformance with Quality procedures.
  • Perform quality engineering audits of design documentation for compliance with requirements.
  • Evaluate effectiveness against Quality Program Standards and modify related quality and commissioning products and processes as needed.
  • Recommend and verify implementation of corrective and preventive actions for project non-conformances and quality issues.
  • Participate in reviews of commissioning scripts and provide feedback.
  • Review Turnover Documentation Package for completeness and accuracy with the Construction Manager.
  • Assist in reviewing Energization, Start-up, and Commissioning schedules for compliance.
  • Drive closure of open issues and escalate outstanding items not closed in a timely manner.
  • Audit factory witness tests for equipment and systems as required.
  • Confirm proper completion and retention of testing documentation aligned with micro-schedule milestones.
  • Review installed labeling, signage, and tagging for compliance.
  • Attend required construction meetings, including weekly project and monthly global Quality meetings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in quality control & quality assurance (QA/QC) and/or Commissioning (Cx) programs for data centers or mission critical construction projects.
  • BS in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build construction programs.
  • Experience in civil/structural, building envelope, mechanical, electrical, and I&C disciplines.
  • Experience leading QA/QC and Cx programs.
  • Experience in contractor, consultant, and vendor management.
  • Experience in mission critical power and cooling infrastructure or other critical systems.
  • Experience adapting to a fast-paced, hands-on, start-up work environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in personnel management, staffing, and scheduling.
  • Experience utilizing Autodesk BIM360 Field and/or ACC Build software.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Equivalent Certifications.
