About the position

The Regional Recruitment Manager at Ohio University is responsible for leading undergraduate recruitment efforts across multiple campuses within a designated geographic territory. This role involves developing and executing recruitment strategies, building relationships with prospective students and community organizations, and advising on admissions processes. The position requires significant travel and engagement with various stakeholders to achieve enrollment goals and enhance the university's presence in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute recruitment plans for the assigned territory.
  • Manage activities and attend events within the territory to support recruitment efforts.
  • Counsel and advise constituents on complex recruitment, admission, and enrollment processes.
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with prospective students, families, and community organizations.
  • Plan and execute on- and off-campus recruitment events.
  • Analyze data and trends to recommend adjustments to recruitment strategies.
  • Evaluate applications and supplemental materials for admission decisions.
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospective students and stakeholders.
  • Hire, train, and manage a team of student ambassadors for recruitment initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field conferred by start date.
  • Minimum of three years of directly related experience.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to travel independently up to twelve weeks annually.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree (strongly preferred).
  • Multi-lingual abilities.
  • Previous experience in college admissions or academic advising.
