About the position

The Regional Resident Assessment Coordinator (RDAC) at Prestige Healthcare is responsible for providing support, education, and training to multiple skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities. This role involves coordinating clinical operations to ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines and managed care policies, while also mentoring and supervising facility team members. The RDAC will travel across Tennessee and to select locations in Kentucky and South Carolina to support regional centers, making a significant impact on the quality of care provided to residents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support, education, and training on the resident assessment instrument (RAI) process to assigned facilities.
  • Coordinate clinical operations in assigned facilities to ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines and managed care case management policy.
  • Review MDS Detail and RUGS monthly or more frequently as needed for assigned facilities.
  • Support assigned facilities in training of MDS staff and preparing clinical teams on MDS processes.
  • Assist assigned facilities with MDS issues and concerns during the survey process.
  • Identify Medicare entitlement and eligibility for prospective residents in assigned facilities.
  • Provide training on MDS software to assigned facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Registered Nursing degree (or diploma) from an accredited college - RN Required.
  • Nursing License for the state(s) within the Region.
  • MDS 3.0 certification.
  • Three years of nursing experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
  • 1+ year working with RAI process and PPS.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in mentoring and supervising healthcare staff.
  • Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing functions in long-term care.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members.
