About the position

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading, motivating, and developing in-house Loan Originators within a hybrid work environment. This role focuses on creating a culture of quality and customer service while ensuring that team members meet performance objectives. The manager will work closely with various departments to enhance processes and improve customer experiences, while also being responsible for staffing, training, and employee development.

Responsibilities

  • Motivates and leads Loan Originators to help customers choose the best loan product for their needs.
  • Trains and manages Loan Originators to meet all national and state regulation standards.
  • Partners with Processing, Underwriting, and Closing managers to drive an exceptional customer experience, meet timely metrics, and close customers timely and with quality.
  • Identifies and resolves any operational inefficiencies.
  • Works closely with business partners in all departments to lead, communicate and execute necessary process enhancements, new initiatives, and internal and external changes.
  • Ensures appropriate staffing to meet department needs.
  • Recruits and hires top sales talent.
  • Evaluates employee's performance and plans for compensation actions in accordance with that performance.
  • Provides developmental opportunities through identification of internal and external training opportunities.
  • Creates opportunities for employee growth.
  • Provides continuous coaching of technical skills and behaviors.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of mortgage-related experience.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage products and guidelines.
  • High level of curiosity and ability to ask probing questions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong sales skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Ability to develop employees to achieve results.
  • Ability to get things done.
  • Ability to generate ideas to find better ways of doing things.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $95,000 to $125,000 annually depending upon experience.
  • Eligibility for an annual bonus based on the successful completion of defined performance objectives.
