About the position

The Regional Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for managing commercial relationships in the Northeast US and Canada, including Quebec and New Brunswick. This role supports the Sales and Marketing function to achieve commercial objectives and strategy, focusing on building relationships with customers, glazing contractors, and architects to promote NSG products and identify new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales for the assigned region to meet or exceed budgeted targets
  • Coordinate activities with related functions to implement the SBU sales and marketing strategy
  • Manage day-to-day contact with buyers and customer representatives
  • Work closely with customers, glazing contractors, and architects to develop relationships and identify opportunities
  • Promote and specify NSG products with architects
  • Analyze customer requests and ensure appropriate actions are taken within the business
  • Fully understand the assigned market and its implications to the business
  • Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities
  • Evaluate quality and delivery performance for nominated customers
  • Monitor and report on commercial and competitor activities within the defined region
  • Adhere to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Engineering, Science, Business or related field
  • Previous experience in a technical field with commercial sales experience or customer exposure
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong technical knowledge base
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to multi-task
  • Computer proficiency, including strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work alone or in teams
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Live in the sales region

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge and experience with commercial glass products
  • Technical Sales experience
  • Fluent in French
