About the position

The Regional Sales and Marketing Manager will oversee commercial relationships in the Northeast US and Canada, focusing on regions such as Quebec, New Brunswick, Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. This role is pivotal in supporting the Sales and Marketing function to achieve commercial objectives and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales for the assigned region to meet or exceed budgeted targets
  • Coordinate activities with related functions (i.e. manufacturing, planning, finance, credit, customer service, quality, supply chain, etc.) to implement the SBU sales and marketing strategy
  • Manage the day-to-day contact with buyers and other customer representatives
  • Work closely with customers, glazing contractors and architects to develop relationships, establish requirements, and identify opportunities
  • Work extensively with architects to promote and specify NSG products
  • Analyze customer requests and ensure appropriate actions are taken within the business liaising with manufacturing, planning, quality, etc. as necessary
  • Fully understand the assigned market and all implications to the business
  • Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities per the commercial strategy
  • Evaluate the quality and delivery performance for nominated customers
  • Monitor and report on commercial and competitor activities within the defined region
  • Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Engineering, Science, Business or related field
  • Previous experience in a technical field with commercial sales experience or customer exposure
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong technical knowledge base to discuss client needs and make appropriate recommendations
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to multi-task
  • Computer proficiency, including strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work alone or in teams
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
  • Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time, including to and from Canada
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Live in the sales region
