About the position

The Regional Sales and Marketing Manager at Pilkington North America Inc. is responsible for managing commercial relationships in the Northeast US and Canada, including Quebec and New Brunswick. This role supports the Sales and Marketing function to achieve commercial objectives and strategy, focusing on building relationships with customers, glazing contractors, and architects while ensuring adherence to company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales for the assigned region to meet or exceed budgeted targets.
  • Coordinate activities with related functions such as manufacturing, planning, finance, and customer service to implement the sales and marketing strategy.
  • Manage day-to-day contact with buyers and customer representatives.
  • Develop relationships with customers, glazing contractors, and architects to establish requirements and identify opportunities.
  • Promote and specify NSG products to architects.
  • Analyze customer requests and ensure appropriate actions are taken within the business.
  • Understand the assigned market and its implications to the business.
  • Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities per the commercial strategy.
  • Evaluate quality and delivery performance for nominated customers.
  • Monitor and report on commercial and competitor activities within the defined region.
  • Adhere to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Engineering, Science, Business or related field.
  • Previous experience in a technical field with commercial sales experience or customer exposure.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong technical knowledge base.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Computer proficiency, including strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work alone or in teams.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, including to and from Canada.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Live in the sales region.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge and experience with commercial glass products.
  • Technical Sales experience.
  • Fluent in French.
