About the position

The Regional Sales Associate for Southern California at Stryker is responsible for supporting the sales team by marketing, promoting, and selling Stryker products to healthcare professionals. This role involves frequent travel to cover for employees on leave and to maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring that sales objectives are met while providing quality service across multiple territories.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sales Representatives in marketing, promoting, and selling Stryker products when not covering for leaves of absence.
• Market, promote, and sell Stryker products while covering for employees on leaves of absence.
• Travel frequently, sometimes on short notice, to perform sales tasks in multiple territories.
• Educate and inform healthcare staff about the proper use and maintenance of Stryker products.
• Tailor promotional messages based on customer knowledge and advise on appropriate product selection.
• Direct product evaluations in operating room and office settings.
• Assist in the preparation and operation of trade shows, conventions, and clinical meetings.
• Keep the regional manager informed of territory progress regularly.
• Solve product problems for customers efficiently.
• Manage and maintain a sample inventory of products.

Requirements

• 1-2 years in an outside sales position, preferably in medical-related fields.
• B.A. or B.S. degree required.
• Field sales training and successful completion of in-house product training program.
• Ability to handle routine overnight travel on short notice, for extended periods of time.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
