About the position

The Regional Sales Director at Labcorp is responsible for overseeing the sales and account management functions within the North Central South Region, which includes states such as IN, KY, OH, WV, MI, and Western PA. This role involves leading a team of sales representatives to promote Invitae's Hereditary Cancer portfolio, driving strategic initiatives, and launching new products. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a competitive spirit, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key accounts and C-suite customers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the regional sales and account management function for up to seven representatives promoting Invitae's Hereditary Cancer portfolio.
  • Achieve company objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and projecting future performance.
  • Represent Labcorp with a comprehensive understanding of offerings.
  • Drive culture and develop talent within the team.
  • Develop and implement new revenue generation models and targeting strategies.
  • Maintain high-level relationships with key accounts and C-suite customers.
  • Research industry trends to identify customer needs for targeted strategies.
  • Hire, train, motivate, and advise a team of sales representatives.
  • Continuously develop personal leadership and training skills.
  • Implement and direct the field sales plan to achieve stated sales objectives.
  • Function as the interface between the sales force and laboratory operations leadership.
  • Understand industry and local market trends for customer-specific strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in the Life Sciences.
  • A minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience, preferably in the life sciences industry.
  • Leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Existing relationships with Genetic Counselors, Geneticists, Hospitals, and Oncology Clinics are preferred.
  • Experience in laboratory or specialty medicine sales is preferred.
  • Prior experience in Hereditary Cancer or oncology is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong degree of technical competency preferred.
  • High level of both verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment across therapeutic areas and commercial teams.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
