About the position

The Regional Sales Director for the New York/New Jersey Metro Area at Communication Technology Services (CTS) is a pivotal role focused on driving sales and expanding the company's footprint in enterprise cellular networks. CTS is recognized as one of the largest integrators and managed service providers in the U.S., specializing in the design, installation, management, and support of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), Small Cell, and 4G/5G Private Cellular Networks (PCN) for both enterprise and public sector customers. With a strong presence in the Chicago region and an office in Elk Grove, IL, CTS is now looking to enhance its sales efforts in the highly competitive Metro New York City/New Jersey area. The ideal candidate for this position will be a seasoned sales professional, preferably residing in the New York City or its suburbs, with a robust network and a proven track record in enterprise sales. The candidate should be comfortable engaging with C-suite executives and have experience selling technical solutions such as DAS, Private LTE/5G Cellular Networks, Public Safety Systems, WLAN Solutions, SDLAN, Fiber-to-the-Edge, and SaaS or WaaS. This role is primarily a hunter position, requiring the Sales Director to prospect for opportunities independently, collaborate with CTS' channel partners, and engage with enterprise customers from CTS' existing client base. Key responsibilities include assisting operations with site walks to facilitate proposal generation, managing customer relationships, generating proposals, handling change orders, resolving problems, generating leads, establishing local relationships, and working with carriers on opportunities that do not meet their ROI. The Sales Director will also be responsible for maintaining a sales pipeline in Salesforce, providing weekly status updates, and reporting as required. Travel will be necessary to engage prospective customer opportunities, making this role dynamic and integral to CTS's growth strategy in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for opportunities based on personal network and sales efforts.
  • Sell jointly with CTS' channel partners in the NY/NJ Region.
  • Engage opportunities with Enterprise customers from CTS' installed base.
  • Assist operations with site walks to enable proposal generation.
  • Generate proposals for customers.
  • Manage responsibilities with customers and prospects regarding sales calls, proposal generation, change orders, and problem resolution.
  • Generate leads and establish local relationships.
  • Work with carriers for opportunities that do not fit their ROI.
  • Attend appropriate trade shows to promote CTS solutions.
  • Maintain a sales pipeline in Salesforce and provide weekly status updates and other reporting as required.
  • Travel as required to engage prospective customer opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in enterprise sales of technical solutions such as DAS, Private LTE/5G Cellular Networks, Public Safety Systems, WLAN Solutions, SDLAN, Fiber-to-the-Edge, and SaaS or WaaS.
  • Experience selling to C-suite executives.
  • Strong networking skills and ability to build relationships with enterprise customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer relationships and proposals simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
