About the position

The Regional Sales Director for the South East will oversee sales operations across 12 states, focusing on achieving profit and volume goals through strategic management of distributor relationships and brand positioning. This remote position requires significant travel to engage with distributors and trade accounts, ensuring effective execution of brand plans and sales strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage distributor relationships by communicating brand goals and evaluating performance through quarterly business reviews.
  • Monitor state performance with monthly reviews on depletions, shipments, accounts sold, programming, and pricing.
  • Develop and execute brand plans in each market, including activations and event planning.
  • Submit annual and monthly case goals by type and size.
  • Create target account lists to identify new opportunities and design action plans for lost accounts.
  • Coordinate introduction meetings with distributors and conduct General Sales Meetings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key buyers across all channels.
  • Provide brand education and training on luxury positioning, menu pricing, programming, and POSM display usage.
  • Negotiate sales priority months within distributors' quarterly calendars and create sales incentives to support state goals.
  • Manage A&P and T&E budgets for the region.
  • Conduct regular travel to markets for trade account visits and in-person distributor meetings.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of distributor and supplier wine and spirits sales experience in the territory.
  • Wine sales experience and certifications are a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is desired.
  • Proficient in MS Office for reporting and presentations.
  • Strong distributor management and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and outgoing personality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and effective time management for territory calls and visits.
  • Valid United States driver's license.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Existing multi-state account relationships are desired.
