The Regional Sales Director for Upstate NY in HIV Prevention at Gilead is a pivotal role focused on leading a sales team to deliver life-saving therapies to healthcare providers and patients. The role involves direct engagement with customers, strategic planning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of Gilead's therapies in the healthcare ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example as a player-coach, setting high-performance standards and fostering a positive team culture.
  • Recruit, hire, and manage a team of sales specialists, providing them with the necessary tools and training.
  • Set clear performance expectations and regularly assess team performance, providing actionable feedback.
  • Analyze regional market data to develop and execute a strategic sales plan that aligns with national goals.
  • Ensure the sales team understands Gilead's therapies and can effectively integrate them into healthcare ecosystems.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare sector.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and drive regional success.
  • Ensure compliance with Gilead's commercial policies and applicable laws.
  • Actively participate in customer-facing activities to maintain a strong market presence.

Requirements

  • High School Degree with 16 years of experience, or an Associate degree with 14 years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience, or a Master's Degree with 10 years of experience, or a Ph.D. with 8 years of experience.
  • Ability to engage in travel as required within the assigned area.
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • 12 years of relevant commercial experience in marketing, sales, or related functions.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic sales plans.
  • Experience in recruiting, training, and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Proven ability to understand and navigate complex healthcare ecosystems.
