About the position

The Regional Sales Director (RSD) for Crystal Cruises is responsible for driving revenue generation through travel agency partners and managing all aspects of business development within a designated geographic territory. This role focuses on increasing sales and achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by collaborating with various internal teams to create effective sales programs. The RSD will engage with travel agencies, conduct training, and participate in events to promote the Crystal Cruises brand and enhance market penetration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a Tier One portfolio of travel agency partners within the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to engage Tier 2 agency partners for revenue production.
  • Conduct 20-25 physical and virtual sales meetings/calls weekly, recording them in the company's CRM platform.
  • Establish revenue targets with agency partners and review productivity towards those targets.
  • Conduct training sessions for agency travel advisors to promote the Crystal product.
  • Identify and close affinity or promotional group business opportunities.
  • Create and manage an annual overhead budget for marketing plans with agency partners.
  • Participate in consumer events and trade shows as required.
  • Cultivate new revenue streams with existing and potential partners.
  • Maintain an email database for communication with travel advisors.
  • Conduct webinars and maintain a social media presence for brand promotion.
  • Analyze territory sales and provide an annual business plan to the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5-10 years of experience in travel industry sales, preferably with luxury cruise lines.
  • Extensive knowledge of the luxury cruise market and competitive landscape.
  • Existing travel industry sales relationships in the assigned territory.
  • Demonstrated track record of sales success with a leading luxury travel company.
  • Management experience in sales team management preferred.
  • Positive, energetic, and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent sales, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and administrative skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with proven ability to achieve sales objectives.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Skilled in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Ability to handle internal and external challenges tactfully.
  • Fluency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for business use.
