About the position

CrowdStrike, Inc. is seeking a passionate and experienced Sales Engineer to join our team, focusing on endpoint security solutions. In this role, you will be at the forefront of helping organizations prevent breaches by leveraging our cutting-edge platform. You will be responsible for articulating the design and deployment of current security solutions, identifying their shortcomings, and demonstrating how our next-generation endpoint technology can transform security practices. This position requires a strong understanding of the security landscape, including endpoint and network security, and the ability to communicate complex security issues to a diverse audience, including C-level executives. As a Sales Engineer, you will work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple engagements simultaneously. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Support, and Engineering teams, acting as the technical bridge between CrowdStrike and our prospects and customers. Your role will involve not only technical expertise but also excellent communication and presentation skills, enabling you to effectively convey the value of our solutions to various stakeholders. You will be expected to leverage your extensive contacts in the information security field to drive engagement and build strong relationships with potential clients. To succeed in this role, you should be a self-starter with the ability to work independently while also being a team player. Your background in sales engineering or relevant work experience of at least 5 years will be crucial in navigating the complexities of the security market. A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field is required, along with a willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and prospects.

Responsibilities

  • Articulate how current security solutions are designed and deployed, and identify their failures.
  • Change perceptions in the security market regarding next-generation endpoint technology.
  • Manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Support, and Engineering teams as the technical bridge between CrowdStrike and prospects/customers.
  • Present complex security problems to diverse audiences, including C-level executives.

Requirements

  • Experience in endpoint or network security space including AV, EDR, incident response, forensics, SIEM, firewall, HIPS/IDS.
  • Strong understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to articulate complex security problems to diverse audiences.
  • Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Extensive contacts in the information security field and strong references.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Sales engineering background or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with malware, threat intelligence, and/or sandbox analysis.
  • Experience with programming or scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
  • Experience with virtualization/VDI technologies.
  • Experience with large scale cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
  • Understanding of the OSI model.
  • Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, OSCP, and SANS.
