About the position

The Regional Sales & Events Manager will lead event and private dining sales for Columbia Hospitality's iconic Seattle venues. This remote role focuses on developing and executing sales strategies, fostering client relationships, and delivering exceptional guest experiences across unique dining and event spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event sales and a passion for hospitality, thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales goals for assigned market segments through proactive sales efforts.
  • Achieve revenue goals by developing a sales plan and strategy, managing key relationships, and networking.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and client contact information within the Sales & Events database.
  • Report weekly achievements against goals for prospecting, inquiries, activities, and industry events.
  • Solicit and secure new business through outside sales calls and participation in trade shows and promotional events.
  • Conduct site inspections and client presentations, responding to inbound RFPs within 24 hours.
  • Implement sales plans based on demand segments to maximize market share.
  • Obtain necessary information for efficient event planning, including meeting setups and AV requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between the operations department and clients, monitoring client satisfaction throughout event planning and execution.
  • Prepare Event Orders, Resumes, Diagrams, and other related documents for property departments.
  • Manage accounts and follow up with clients to capture future repeat business.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hospitality sales experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in sales and/or event management with strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail with effective business correspondence skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong personal skills including time management, information analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Strong interpersonal influence skills, including coaching and relationship-building.
  • Demonstrated mathematical operations skills for data analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, Excel).
  • Knowledge of hospitality sales platforms.
  • Proficiency in conducting client research and staying updated on industry trends.
