About the position

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan to expand business opportunities in the building materials industry. This role focuses on achieving sales targets through effective prospecting, customer education, and maintaining high standards of service. The position is fully remote, requiring the candidate to reside in specific states on the West Coast.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan focused on expanding business opportunities to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Schedule appointments 2-3 weeks in advance to achieve 5-6 quality field calls per day, ensuring 2-3 are confirmed firm appointments.
  • Prospect daily to identify and engage new lead opportunities.
  • Serve as a technical resource for all Jointmaster product lines, offering expert assistance with product recommendations, specifications, and technical inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed quotes through thorough field measurements, coordinating with the inside divisional representative and utilizing all required field forms.
  • Educate customers on InPro's advantages through face-to-face meetings and Box Lunch presentations (minimum of 12 per year, with at least 4 AIA presentations) across the territory.
  • Achieve target contribution margin for the territory, aligning with company goals.
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency to minimize returns and allowances, maintaining a high standard of service.

Requirements

  • College degree required, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Proven success in sales is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in inside or outside sales within a B2B environment is required, with a strong track record in prospecting, cold-calling, and business development.
  • Extensive experience in construction sales is essential.
  • Experience with expansion joint sales is highly preferred.
  • Must be proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans.
